Taking a snapshot creates a new snapshot entry in the dSource’s Timeflow. The staging pull dSource allows you to select the parameters before taking the snapshot. These parameters are provided as input to the snapshot operation. The default snapshot operation uses parameters defined in the dSource environment.

To take a snapshot and delete it, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to DCT.

  2. Go to Data>dSources tab, add a source config against the discovered staging instance.

  3. Select the IBM Db2 dSource and click View.

  4. Click the Actions menu and select the Create Snapshot option.

  5. On the Confirm Snapshot, select the Create Snapshot with Params check box to create a snapshot with the following parameters:

    • Enter Timestamp, when the database needs to be roll forwarded to a  specific timestamp

    • Select the Resynchronize the dSource check box when the database needs to be resynced.

  6. Click Confirm.
