Create and link dSources using Staging Push in Data Control Tower

Use Staging Push when you want full control over staging database creation and backup workflows. In this mode, Delphix mounts storage on the staging host, but you manually create the Cassandra tenant database.

Steps

1. Navigate to Data > Data Management > dSources.
2. Select + dSource in the top-right corner.
3. Select Source-based dSource.
4. In Select Data Source, provide:
   • Environment user
   • NFS mount location
   • Cassandra staging tenant database name
   • Enable Use Staging Push
5. Do not provide backup or encryption parameters.
6. Complete the remaining wizard steps and submit.

Results

• DCT mounts storage on the staging host.
• The dSource remains Inactive until the tenant database is created.
