Link a Cassandra data source to create a staged copy of a Cassandra cluster that Delphix can snapshot and virtualize. Use this task when onboarding a new Cassandra source or when re-linking an existing source with updated configuration.
Before you begin
- A discovered Cassandra repository is available
- A source configuration is created
- The staging host meets Cassandra and connector prerequisites
Steps
- Navigate to Data > Data Management > dSources.
- Select + dSource in the top-right corner.
- Select Source-based dSource.
- Choose a source configuration.
- Provide staging and database parameters.
- Select Staging Push as the ingestion method.
- Enter the staging
mount_path. - Specify the number of nodes in the staging cluster.
- Enter the cluster IP address or hostname.
- Specify base values for the JMX, native transport, and storage ports.
- If authentication is required, enable authentication and provide a Cassandra username and password.
- If required, define global node configuration to apply to all nodes.
- If the cluster includes additional nodes, define each additional node with its environment and environment user.
- Start the linking operation.
During linking, the connector validates host access, ports, binaries, utilities, and configuration, then starts the staging cluster and captures snapshot metadata.
