Delphix supports customers to run Datapatch against their virtual databases when the databases are created, refreshed, rewound, started, or enabled via DCT. For more information, read the Datapatch and Delphix Continuous Data Engine page.

Delphix does not support running Datapatch for a database if it’s not managed by Delphix (e.g. linked CDB, PDB, non-multitenant database) or it’s a vCDB with multiple vPDBs, customers can run Datapatch for these databases without Delphix if necessary.

To invoke Datapatch for a VDB in DCT, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the DCT instance.

  2. Navigate to Data > dSources, and click a vPDB dSource and select the Timeline tab.

  3. Choose a snapshot and click Actions > Provision VDB. For more information, read the Provisioning a VDB page.
