Before you begin
-
Verify that your staging and target hosts meet the Python 3.11 and vSDK 5.0.1 requirements.
-
Confirm whether your environment uses XDCR or Couchbase Backup Manager (CBBKPMGR) for dSource linking.
-
If you are already using the legacy couchbase-plugin, plan for a fresh install and re-linking of your existing Couchbase dSources. The legacy plugin and the new connector are treated as different plugins by the Delphix Engine.
Install the new connector
-
Uninstall the legacy couchbase-plugin if it is installed on the Delphix Engine.
-
Install Couchbase Connector 2026.1.0 as a new plugin. This is a fresh install, not an in-place upgrade.
-
Confirm the connector UUID in the plugin management UI.
-
Verify that the installed connector is the supported couchbase-gate implementation and not the retired legacy plugin.
Prepare the host environment
-
Ensure each staging or target host uses a supported Python 3.11 runtime.
-
Confirm the required vSDK 5.0.1 runtime is available on the host.
-
Use the supported UNIX host architecture for this connector.
-
If you plan to use CBBKPMGR, confirm that the source environment is Couchbase Enterprise Edition.
Community Edition does not support this ingestion method.
Create your Couchbase configuration
-
Add the Couchbase environment or installation to Delphix.
-
Create a Couchbase SourceConfig before you link a dSource.
-
Confirm that the environment uses the supported staging pattern for the connector.
-
If the connection requires custom path or host configuration, use the supported Couchbase installation layout and confirm the expected binary path.
