Lock or unlock a VDB in DCT

A VDB can be locked by a user with Lock permissions for that particular VDB. Once a VDB is locked, all of the VDB operations (Refresh, Start, Stop, Delete, and Create Bookmark) are disabled for all other users.

Lock a VDB

To lock a VDB in DCT, follow these steps:

1. Login to the DCT instance.

2. Navigate to Data > VDBs, click View on a VDB and click Actions > Lock option.

3. Click Lock.

Unlock a VDB

To unlock a VDB in DCT, follow these steps:

1. Login to the DCT instance.

2. Navigate to Data > VDBs, click View on a VDB and click Actions > Unlock option.

3. Click Unlock.
