Discovery detects Couchbase binaries and repositories on registered environments. This process automatically runs when you add an environment to DCT. When you add new Couchbase versions or installations to an existing environment, you must manually trigger discovery to detect the changes.
Discovery behavior
-
Automatic discovery – Runs automatically when you add an environment
-
Manual discovery trigger – Required when:
-
New Couchbase version installed on existing environment
-
New Couchbase installation added to existing environment
-
Refresh an environment to re-trigger discovery
If you have added a new Couchbase installation or upgraded the Couchbase version on an existing environment, refresh the environment to detect the changes.
Steps
-
Navigate to Data > Infrastructure Connections > Environments.
-
Select the environment name to open the environment details page.
-
Select Actions > Refresh to trigger discovery.
-
Monitor the refresh job. When complete, the Couchbase installation list is updated.
Result
The environment is refreshed and any new or updated Couchbase installations are discovered and appear in the Couchbase installation list.
