The Cassandra connector uses a staged workflow that moves data from a source cluster into Delphix-managed snapshots and then provisions virtual Cassandra clusters from those snapshots.

High-level workflow

  1. Discover a Cassandra repository
  2. Create a source configuration
  3. Link a staged data source (dSource)
  4. Capture snapshots
  5. Provision a Cassandra VDB
  6. Reconfigure or unconfigure the VDB as needed

Multi-node cluster handling

For multi-node clusters, the connector generates per-node configuration based on a combination of global and node-specific settings.

  • Global node configuration applies to all nodes
  • Additional node definitions allow per-node overrides
  • Node counts must be consistent across the configuration
