DCT 2026.2.0 introduces support for Oracle connector, enabling users to manage Oracle ingestion, linking, and provisioning operations through a unified DCT interface. With this release, DCT orchestrates the Continuous Data ingestion mechanisms for Delphix Continuous Data Engine described in the previous sections to support Oracle connector integration, which includes:
-
Discovery of Oracle Container Database (CDB) and Pluggable Database (PDB)
-
Source based and Staging Push ingestion
-
SnapSync and snapshot lifecycle policies
-
Oracle virtual database (VDB) provisioning with templates and hooks
-
Attach/detach workflows for CDB/PDB migrations
-
Support for VDB operations (start, stop, refresh, migrate, delete)
Prerequisites
Before using Oracle connector in DCT, ensure:
DCT requirements
-
DCT instance is running.
-
A Continuous Data Engine is registered in the DCT infrastructure.
Environment requirements
-
Oracle source and target hosts are reachable from the Continuous Data Engine.
-
Valid Oracle environment users are configured (with toolkit access).
-
Host type: Standalone or RAC and OS type: UNIX.
-
Backup strategy (Delphix-Initiated backups or Staging Push) is defined.
