Link a MongoDB dSource using the dSource creation wizard in DCT, which walks through method-specific source configurations and a set of common configurations that apply to all ingestion methods.
To access the dSource creation wizard:
-
Open Infrastructure Connections, click View on the staging environment, expand the MongoDB entry, and click + dSource.
-
Open Data > Data Management > dSources and click + dSource.
Procedure
-
On the Source tab, select the ingestion method from the dSource Type dropdown. The fields on this tab change dynamically based on your selection. To reference the various fields you may encounter per ingestion method, see the Ingestion method fields topic.
-
Enter a name for the dSource and assign it to a group.
-
In the Data Management tab, select the staging environment and OS user. Configure snapshot parameters. Optionally, enable Resynchronize dSource to trigger a full resync from the source.
-
In the Policies tab, review and optionally modify the snapshot and retention policies.
-
In the Hooks tab, optionally add hook scripts at available hook points.
-
Finally, review all of the configurations in the Summary and select Submit.
After you click Submit, DCT initiates DB_Link and DB_Sync jobs to create the dSource. Monitor job progress in Admin > Operations. On successful completion, the database icon changes to a dSource icon under Data > Data Management > dSources.
Do not disable the dataset after a failed or cancelled RESYNC job.
