When a masking job managed by Data Control Tower is executed, the job is deployed to a compliance node associated with the Job Orchestrator.

After the execution completes on the compliance node, DCT collects post-execution information and makes it available in the job execution details.

This information helps in verifying that masking operations completed successfully and troubleshoot issues if they occur.

Use this task to view execution details for a masking job.

Steps

  1. In the left navigation pane, click Compliance Jobs.

  2. Click View next to the job to open the job details page.

  3. Click View Job Execution Details to view the execution details of a compliance job.

The Job Execution Details page opens. This page contains the following tabs:

    1. Overview

    2. Execution Components

    3. Execution Logs

Overview

The Overview tab displays a summary of the job execution, including the job status and other key execution details.

Execution components

The Execution Components tab lists all tables that were processed during the masking job.

To view details for a specific table:

  1. Click Details next to the table.

  2. View execution events and logs associated with that table.

This view displays execution events and logs associated with that table.

Execution logs

The Execution Logs tab displays logs and events for the entire job execution. These logs help diagnose issues that occur during masking operations.

In DCT version 2026.3 and later, execution logs and execution component logs are handled differently when they are large. If a log file is 100 KB or smaller, the full contents are returned and displayed. If a log file exceeds 100 KB, the displayed output is truncated. In this case, the UI shows either the last 1,000 lines (if they fit within 100 KB) or as many lines as fit within the 100 KB limit. When a log is truncated, the UI displays an informational banner indicating that the log output is incomplete and provides an option to download the full log file.
