Use this task to define the rules and classifier logic used to identify sensitive data during discovery.

Steps

  1. In the left navigation pane, click Compliance > Discovery Policies.

  2. Review the list of existing discovery policies to confirm that a suitable policy does not already exist.

  3. Click + Discovery Policy.

  4. In the Details step:

    1. Enter the policy name and an optional description.

    2. (Optional) Enter an assignment threshold. The value must be met or exceeded for the ASDD discovery to make a data class and algorithm assignment. The value must be an integer from 1 to 100. If not specified, the value defaults to the application setting for ASDD called DefaultAssignmentThreshold.

    3. To add tags, enter a Tag Key and Tag Value, then click + Tag.

  5. Click Next.

  6. In the Data Classifiers step:

    1. Review the list of available classifiers.

    2. (Optional) Use the Search field to filter the list.

    3. Select the checkbox next to each classifier to include in the discovery policy.

  7. Click Next.

  8. In the Summary step, review the policy configuration.

  9. Click Submit.
