The application details page provides a central view of an application’s status, configuration, and associated connectors in Synthetic Data.

From this page, you can review application metadata, inspect connector mappings, and access actions to manage the application.

You can open the application details page by clicking View next to an application in the Applications list.

The page is organized into two tabs: Overview and Connectors.

Overview tab

The Overview tab presents a summary of the application’s current state and key configuration information.

Status Summary

At the top of the tab, status tiles display high‑level information about the application:

Field Description
Status The current state of the application. Possible values are Setup Required, Active, Discovering, and Error.
Connectors The total number of connectors configured for the application, including both reference and target connectors.
Tables The total number of tables discovered across all reference connectors.

Application Information

Below the status tiles, the Overview tab displays the following panels:

  • Connectors — Lists the names of all reference connectors associated with the application.

  • Description — Displays the description entered when the application was created. Click Edit to update the description.

  • Tags — Displays any key-value tags assigned to the application. If no tags have been added, the panel displays "No tags added." Click Edit to add or update tags.

Application Properties

The Application Properties section displays the following application-level settings:

  • Locale — The locale used for locale-aware discovery. Not set (use global) indicates that the application uses the global Synthetic Data setting.

  • Industry — The industry context used for industry-specific discovery. Not set (use global) indicates that the application uses the global Synthetic Data setting.

  • Discovery Depth — The amount of source data analyzed during discovery. The available options are Metadata Only and Light Data Sampling.

Connectors tab

The Connectors tab displays all reference and target connectors configured for the application in the Connector Mappings section.

This tab shows how reference connectors are mapped to their target destinations. One reference connector can be mapped to multiple target connectors.

For step‑by‑step instructions on assigning connectors, see:

Filtering connectors

The connector list can be filtered using:

  • The Search Connectors field

  • The All Platforms dropdown

  • The All Statuses dropdown

Reference connectors

Each reference connector is displayed as a card showing the following information:

Field Description
Name The name of the reference connector.
Platform The database platform, such as Oracle.
Status The current connector status, such as Active.
Host The host address and port used for the database connection.

The following actions are available on each reference connector card:

  • Edit — Opens the connector details for editing.

  • Delete — Removes the connector from the application.

  • + Add Target Connector — Adds a new target connector mapped to this reference connector.

For detailed procedures related to connector configuration, see Add a reference connector and Edit a Synthetic Data connector.

Target connectors

Target connectors are displayed beneath their associated reference connector.

  • The number of target destinations is indicated by an N target destination(s) label.

  • Each target connector entry displays the connector name, host address and port, and platform badge.

  • Edit and Delete actions are available for each target connector.

To add a target connector, click + Add Target Connector on the associated reference connector card. For instructions, see Add a target connector.
