To perform discovery or masking operations, DCT Compliance must be able to access the data sources that contain the data to be processed. In DCT Compliance, this is configured using connectors and rule sets.

Connectors define how DCT connects to a data source such as a database or file system. They store the connection details required to access the source.

Rule Sets define the specific tables, files, or columns within a data source that should be analyzed or masked.

Together, connectors and rule sets allow DCT Compliance to access data sources and determine which data should be processed during discovery or masking operations.
