A Job Orchestrator support bundle contains diagnostic information collected from one or more compliance nodes associated with a Job Orchestrator. Support bundles are used to troubleshoot failures in compliance operations, such as job execution failures.

DCT allows you to generate a support bundle directly from the Job Orchestrator details page. The generated bundles from the selected compliance nodes are combined into a single ZIP file that can be downloaded from the operation details page.

Prerequisites

To generate and download a Job Orchestrator support bundle, you must have the GENERATE_SUPPORT_BUNDLE permission on the Job Orchestrator.

Steps

Use the following steps to generate a job orchestrator support bundle in DCT.

  1. Navigate to Compliance > Job Orchestrators.

  2. Open the Job Orchestrator for which you want to generate a support bundle.

  3. From the page header, open the actions menu and select Generate Support Bundle.

  4. In the Generate Support Bundle dialog, review the list of compliance nodes and adjust the selection as required.

    All online nodes are selected by default. Offline nodes are displayed but cannot be selected. At least one node must be selected to generate a support bundle. If one or more nodes are unreachable, DCT displays a warning banner in the dialog indicating that unreachable nodes are present. You can limit support bundle generation to a subset of nodes if you know which nodes were involved in the operation being investigated.

  5. Click Generate.

DCT starts a background operation to collect support bundles from the selected nodes. Support bundle generation is tracked as a DCT operation with the type Job Orchestrator Support Bundle Generate.

To monitor progress:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Operations.

  2. Locate the operation and open the operation details page to view the current status.

The operation details page shows progress information until the operation completes.

Download the support bundle

After the operation completes, the support bundle is available for download from the operation details page.

DCT provides two download entry points:

  • A Download Support Bundle action in the page header

  • An informational banner in the page body with a Download Support Bundle link

The downloaded file is named: support_bundle_{orchestratorId}.zip.

The support bundle file expires 60 minutes after the operation completes. If the file expires before it is downloaded, you must generate the support bundle again.
