Moving Compliance Engines to a Hyperscale orchestrator enables them to participate in Hyperscale job execution.

When to use this task

Use this task when you want to repurpose existing Compliance Engines for Hyperscale workloads. After the move, the engines are listed under the Hyperscale orchestrator and are no longer available as worker nodes for the job orchestrator.

Before you begin

Verify the following conditions for each Compliance Engine you plan to move:

  • The engine has no active jobs.

  • The engine belongs to the same job orchestrator that is associated with the target Hyperscale orchestrator.

  • The engine is not already attached to a Hyperscale instance.

Steps

1. Navigate to Compliance > Delphix Infrastructure > Hyperscale Orchestrators and click View on the target orchestrator to open its detail page.

2. Select the Engines tab.

3. Click the Action dropdown and select Import Existing Engine.

4. In the Add Engine to Hyperscale Orchestrator dialog, search for and select the Compliance Engines you want to move.

5. Click Import to complete the move.

After the move, the engines appear in the Engines tab of the Hyperscale orchestrator with their Status, Name/UUID, and Host details.

What's next

If required, you can Move Compliance Engines back to a job orchestrator.
