Create a data class

Use this task to create a new data class for identifying a specific type of sensitive data.

Steps

1. In the left navigation pane, click Compliance > Data Classes.

2. Click + Data Class.

3. In the Details step:

   1. Enter the Data Class name.

   2. Enter an optional description and example.

   3. To add tags, enter a Tag Key and Tag Value, and click + Tag.

4. Click Next.

5. In the Algorithms step:

   1. Review the list of available algorithms.

   2. (Optional) Use the Search field to filter by name.

   3. Select the masking algorithms to associate with the Data Class and specify which should be default for ASDD and tokenization. The Default Tokenization checkbox is disabled for algorithms that do not support tokenization.

6. Click Next.

7. In the Summary step, review the details and algorithm assignment details.

8. If you need to make changes, click Back to update the previous steps. Otherwise, click Create Submit.
