Continuous Data supports replication to newer versions of Delphix target engines. When creating replication policies in DCT, navigate to Data > Policies > Replication and ensure that the source and target engine versions are compatible per the matrix below.

Restrictions

  • Source engines must be version 5.3.0.0 or newer.

  • Target engines must be version 5.3.3.0 or newer.

  • From 6.0.10.0 to 20.0.0.*, you cannot replicate to versions released more than 12 months apart.

  • On 2025.5.0.* and newer, you cannot replicate to versions released more than 18 months apart.

  • 6.0.3.1 to 6.0.3.1 (same version)

  • 6.0.3.0 to 6.0.3.1 (newer patch version)

Unsupported

  • 5.2.5.0 to 6.4.0.0 (source version not compatible with FCR)

  • 5.3.0.0 to 5.3.2.0 (target version not compatible with FCR)

  • 6.0.9.0 to 6.0.8.0 (source version newer than target version)

  • 6.0.0.0 to 6.0.10.0 (more than 12 months between version releases)

Exceptions

Some versions of 5.3.x are not compatible with some versions of 6.0.0.0 and 6.0.1.x:

  • 5.3.7.0 and 5.3.7.1 are not compatible with 6.0.0.0

  • 5.3.8.0 and 5.3.8.1 are not compatible with 6.0.0.0

  • 5.3.9.0 is not compatible with 6.0.0.0, 6.0.1.0, or 6.0.1.1

Replication matrix
