This topic describes how to set the Support Access Control for Delphix Support. Support access control enables Delphix Support to access your instance of the Delphix Engine for a defined period of time using an access token.

  1. Log into the Delphix Setup application using sysadmin credentials.

  2. Click Server Preferences.

  3. Select Support Access.

  4. Click Enable.

  5. Set the time period during which you want to allow Delphix Support to have access to your instance of the Delphix Engine.

  6. Click Generate Token. Provide the token to Delphix Support to enable access to your server.

Return Support Access to the default state

After you enable Support Access, click Clear Token to remove the access token. Leave Enable Support Access selected.

This returns Support Access to its default state: Enable Support Access remains selected and Token ID is None. Delphix Support can access the Delphix Engine without requiring an access token.

The start and end time fields in the date and time selectors are used when generating a new token and have no effect unless you generate one. Time restrictions apply only when a valid token ID is displayed with the token details.

Disable Support Access

To disable Support Access completely and prevent Delphix Support from logging in to the engine, clear Enable Support Access. This is different from clicking Clear Token, which leaves Support Access enabled without requiring a token.

Keep Support Access enabled unless you have a specific reason to prevent access. If you disable Support Access and later lose access to the engine, Delphix Support might not be able to log in to help restore access.
