Action required: The Continuous Data UI, API, and CLI are scheduled for end of life. Review the latest migration guidance and start planning your transition to Data Control Tower.
On new engine installations of 2026.5.0.0 and later, the Admin UI opens directly to the Performance Dashboard, and the Manage, Resources, and System menus are unavailable. Engines upgraded from an earlier version keep full Admin UI access. This restriction cannot be changed by customers; contact Delphix Support if you need it lifted temporarily.

Download the engine upgrade image for the target version from the Delphix download site. Continuous Data and Continuous Compliance use the same image, which is generic to supported virtualization platforms. The filename includes the target version and build timestamp, for example Delphix_2026.5.0.2_<build-timestamp>_Standard_Upgrade.tar.
The 2026.5.0.2 upgrade image is approximately 9 GB. Image sizes vary by release; check the target image size and ensure you have a fast internet connection to download and upload it to the Delphix Engine.
You should download the upgrade image or move it to a location accessible to the computer you use with the Delphix Management application. Once downloaded, do not extract or modify the file. No unpacking or additional processing is required.
Refer to the Upgrade matrix before upgrading. Review the release notes and version-specific documentation for your source version, target version, and every intermediate version you upgrade through for prerequisites and conditions.
For upgrades from version 6.0.0.0 or later to a compatible version, contacting Delphix Support is not required.
Upgrade images for target versions 6.0.2.0 and later include upgrade pre-checks. Use the latest target-version image because checks may be updated between releases.
Upgrades from version 2025.3.0.* or older to version 2025.4.0.* or newer require an Upgrade and Reboot and VDB downtime.
SHA256 checksums, which you can use to verify the integrity of any downloaded files, are available at download.delphix.com. Each download link should list a sha256sum checksum underneath. Newer releases may also contain a downloadable SHA256SUMS file with the checksums of all files in that directory.
You can use the following utilities to calculate the checksum of downloaded files and confirm that they match those in the SHA256SUMS file:
-
On Windows,
certutil -HashFile <upgrade-image.tar> SHA256 -
On macOS or Unix servers with Perl installed,
shasum -a 256 <upgrade-image.tar> -
On Unix servers with
coreutilsinstalled,sha256sum <upgrade-image.tar>
