Setting up a linked service for Azure Cosmos DB NoSQL source requires you to perform the following tasks:

  1. Create an Azure Function using an App Service Plan

  2. Assign managed identity access for an Azure function to ADLS

  3. Configure Managed Identity Access for ADF Pipelines

  4. Configure Azure Function Access to Cosmos DB Secret Using Azure Key Vault

  5. Create an Azure function linked service

These tasks enable an Azure Function to access Cosmos DB securely and be orchestrated within Azure Data Factory (ADF).
