Some connectors require additional configuration parameters supplied through a properties file. To use these files through the Masking API, you must upload the file to the engine and update the connector to reference it.

Procedure

  1. Upload the properties file using POST /file-uploads. This returns a fileReferenceId for the uploaded file.

  2. Retrieve the existing connector configuration (optional but recommended) using GET /database-connectors/{databaseConnectorId}. This helps you identify where the properties file reference must be added.

  3. Update the connector using PUT /database-connectors/{databaseConnectorId}. Include the fileReferenceId returned in Step 1 in the connector payload.

    Example: "fileReferenceId": "delphix-file://upload/f_1dd9caeb454f48e38e6c47ed5b5d17b3/sql_server.properties"

  4. Verify the update by calling GET /database-connectors/{databaseConnectorId}. Ensure the new fileReferenceId appears in the connector configuration.
